State Fair of Texas 2011

It's State Fair time in Texas!  The weather has been gorgeous, and we headed out to enjoy the rides, games, and food!  Leah is tall enough now to ride many rides by herself, but she needed Mommy to come along on the roller coaster this year.
She also rode the swings and the airplanes.  I think her favorite were the airplanes, because it went really fast!

Try to tell me she's not having fun!
Our next stop was the petting zoo.  Last year, she fed the goats on her own, and this year she was a pro!  It was too bad the goats kept taking the entire cup away from her, causing Daddy to have to reach into the pen to get it back.  :)  Greedy goats!
The last ride we got on was the big ferris wheel.  It's huge, but that didn't bother Leah in the slightest!  She loved being up high and "flying".

After the rides, it was time to sit down for dinner.  We had our traditional corny dogs, while Leah chose her traditional quesadillas.  The girl will eat quesadillas morning, noon, and night!  After dinner, we needed some dessert, so what else would we have besides a funnel cake!  She's just a little bit excited...
 Digging in!

Leah was still not a fan of Big Tex, but we managed a quick picture.

We had such a great time at the fair this year!  Every year, Leah is able to do more and more fun things.  We can't wait for next year!
